Nursing Scholarships
GCF grants 40 Nursing Scholarships each year.
After graduation new nurses are employed in well paying jobs.
They are newly able to support themselves and their families, while paying for the education for younger family members. Women we support come from very poor families without the means to receive education without the assistance of GCF.
Graduates join the GCF Alumni Association, as we work together throughout their careers.
Many of our members go on to work collaboratively with GCF programs.
One Year Nursing Tuition - $300 per person
Full Nursing Program Tuition - $900 per person
Another Demonstrated Success!
After graduation, Preethi was recruited from our nursing campus and was offered a job at a software company with a salary of 15000 rupees, with the prospect of a pay increase once every six months of up to 2500 rupees! Congratulations Preethi!

Tailoring Schools
GCF currently sponsors three tailoring schools. Following a six month course, GCF assists graduates in purchasing a sewing machine.The students' new tailoring skills provide women with a ready-made home business that generates income for the entire family. Most of these women in turn use their income to pay for education for their children. In this program, half of the sewing machine costs are repaid by the tailor and are used by GCF to purchase more sewing machines. GCF has now graduated over 300 young women from our tailoring schools!
